Speed Sensors
Lenor + Bauer speed sensors and encoders are used for traction control (anti-slip), brake regulation (antiskid protection), vehicle speed, and distance monitoring. The sensors' signals also are used in event recorders and to secure the doors while a train is moving. All sensors are designed to withstand atmospheric moisture and also stress caused by impacts.vibrations, and wide temperature fluctuations from -40 degrees to 250 degrees F (-40 to 120 degrees C). The company's high-resolution rotary encoder is designed to increase locomotive traction performance. Multi-channel encoders, specified from one to eight channels, can be mounted on the axle end to provide independent signals for various control systems.
